About the author

Mandy Partridge is a writer and performer from Brisbane, Australia. As Mandy Curties she completed a BA in drama and art at UQ, and an MA at Griffith University.

From singing hymns in church, Mandy moved on to theatre, opera, bands and joined the Circus in 1995. Mandy performed with Vulcana Circus and developed her solo character, Mistress Mandarella in 1999. Mandarella has performed in Brisbane, Perth, busking in London and Ephesus, Turkey. Mandy travelled to WA in the new millennium, and managed the Circus School of WA, writing and directing some great big Circus Shows. 

Back in Brisbane, Mandy produced “Mistress Mandarella’s new Boots” at the Powerhouse. 

Mandy married and became a Partridge, and had two lovely daughters. She still trains in acrobatics and busks at Southbank.
